IFS Broker is an internationally recognized standard that establishes requirements for brokerage activity in the food and non-food supply chain.
It applies to companies that act as intermediaries between manufacturing companies and the buyer, including brokers, agents, importers and exporters.

What is the IFS Broker certification like?
The certification process includes several stages:

Initial evaluation
The company carries out a self-assessment to verify its compliance with the requirements of said standard.

Selecting a certification body
The company chooses an accredited body that will perform the audit.

Audit
During the audit, the company’s compliance with the requirements of the standard is evaluated, including supply chain management, supplier selection and evaluation, product traceability, and compliance with legality and safety and quality standards.

Report and certification
If the company meets the requirements, the certification body issues an IFS Broker certificate valid for one year.

Annual audits
To maintain certification, the company must undergo annual audits.
